When should I use this Joist?
This joist should be used when installing paving or decking with a build-up height of 300mm or more. This is used as the lower lattice joist and a 75mm top rail for paving or decking installed at 90 degrees. This joist is also used when building steps, as it has been specially designed to be able to build a step stack.
How far can this joist span
This Joist can span 1.2m

Simply, because they last the longest! If you are installing a long lasting composite decking, then you don’t want the suframe to fail and need replacing in 5-10 years when the composite still has many years of life left!
