Case Study: Home Balcony Project – Luxxe™ Dark Grey

March 2022

About The Project

An empty balcony area with only an asphalt roofing membrane and a glass balcony balustrade, this area that was in desperate need of some TLC. Like many of our clients, Jacqueline chose to get the job done properly and avoid any of the hassles of a timber substructure… The best decision that she made was to use our Tectonic aluminium substructure and Tectonic adjustable pedestals so that her balcony would remain in almost pristine condition for many many years. She had also decided to choose the premium ‘Woodgrain’ product, not only because of the 25 year warranty but also because the colours would match the style of the house.

Our Solution

We knew that Jacqueline wanted be able to walk straight out on the decking area so by using the Tectonic aluminium joist system, she could do exactly that. With the help of the adjustable decking pedestals, the height of the area could be precisely adjusted to run level with the sliding doors. Jacqueline had originally placed an order for ‘Woodgrain Light Grey’ but when the boards arrived she ultimately decided to use the reverse side of the board and go with the ‘Dark Grey’ colour option which is the beauty of the Woodgrain Composite Decking board. We agreed when we saw the final images that she had made the correct decision in choosing the reverse side of the board. This finished project turned out extremely well and Jacqueline now has a decking area she can be proud of.
